Privacy
Lakehaven List is a free directory run by Lakehaven neighbors. Here's what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
If you're browsing
- We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages and categories neighbors use. It sets cookies and sends Google details like the pages you view, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (city level).
- We also count when a listing or contact form is sent. Only the form type and the category or topic chosen are recorded, never what you typed.
- We don't use ad trackers, and we don't use analytics data for advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies.
- Our web host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run and protect the site. We don't use those logs to track anyone.
If you list a business
When you submit the "List your business" form, we receive:
- The details you enter: business name, description, services, owner name, phone, email, website, hours, service area, and pricing.
- Any logo or photos you upload.
- Your Lakehaven address, if you ask for the resident badge.
- Your IP address and browser type, which our form service (Netlify Forms) records automatically to help block spam.
What's public: only what appears on your listing, which is the business details and images you gave us. Your home address is never published. It's used only to confirm you live in Lakehaven for the resident badge.
Where it's kept: submissions are stored in our Netlify account and sent to our email so we can review them. Photos are resized and stripped of location data before they're published.
If you send us a message
Messages from the Contact form are stored in our Netlify account along with your IP address and browser type. Your name and email are optional, and we only use them to reply to you.
What we never do
We never sell or rent your information, share it with anyone beyond the services named above, or use it to market to you.
Changes and removal
To update your listing, remove it, or have us delete your submission and address, email hello@lakehavenlist.com or use the Contact form. We'll take care of it within a few days.
